MEND MY HEART O GOD

Psalm 34:18

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” NIV

Mend my heart O God

And wrap me in Your love.

Cover my wounds with mercy

Lord, Smile on me from above.

Come take the pain and grief

And heal the gaping hole.

Place your hand upon my heart

Fill it up, and make it whole.

Find a way to mend my heart

Within your plan and will.

Lift me up, help me stand

On the Solid Rock so still.

Secure my heart in healing

And make me glad once more!

Hold me in your grip O God

Until my heart is restored.

One day I will look back

And see how You were there.

You took my heart, mended it

And gave me Your joy to share!
