TIMELESS WORDS
“For the word of the LORD is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.”
Lord, I am humbled again
At the Words You speak to me
My words only last for a season
But Yours, Lord, last for eternity
Timeless Words were spoken then
Ones that resonate through the ages
Whatever my need, You are there
Speaking Words of wisdom through the pages
You give me Words of comfort
And You teach me how to praise
You give me mighty Words of hope
That last throughout my days
You tell me not to be afraid
For You do not give a spirit of fear
Your Word says You’ll never leave me
And that You’ll always be near
I find peace as I turn the page
For that is what You speak to me
“Be still and know that I am God”
And I fall on bended knee
Your Word, Lord, is a treasure store
Of what I need for every day
Timeless Words of love and grace
“Give me wisdom through them,” I pray
“My grace is sufficient for you”
“Come drink from the
“All things come together for good”
These Words help me in times of strife
I love you, O Lord, my God
How I love to praise Your name
Timeless Words, every one true
Never changing, always the same
Words that reach the sinner’s heart
Words that heal a parent’s pain
Words that teach us how to live
Until You come again…
For timeless Words I raise my hands
And cherish each and every one
Words penned by common man
But spoken by Father and Son.
