I Love to go to Church
By Thomas E. Kittrell

I love to go to Church
For it is there I am fed
Other places extend a welcome
But I’d rather go to Church instead
I love the songs of praise
I cherish the time of prayer
I gladly receive the message
I feel the presence of God there
I know that in modern times
Church is not a popular place
But God is still dealing
With the human race
Where two or three are gathered
Together in my name I’ll be
This promise we have from God
He’s there for spiritual eyes to see
I love to go to Church each week
Because there I am spiritually fed
The Church does this for me
As long as by the Holy Spirit it is led
Please dear God, do not let
The Church grow cold
Help us to You be true
Please add others to your fold
You are the bride groom
The Church is your bride
You will come for us one day
And we’ll forever be by your side
