The Power Of Prayer!

Oh, Lord, how I praise Your Holy Name

And lift my hands to the skies.

You heard the prayers of a mother’s heart,

And saw the pain in my eyes.

My child, my child you gave to me

Has been in such lengthy despair!

“For I know the plans I have for you..”

You kept whispering in the air.

Trust played such an important role

In how we survived so long.

Three years of heartache and pain

Yet we still could sing Your song!

Emily’s kidneys just couldn’t work…

They functioned but just couldn’t drain.

In having two major surgeries behind

The surgeons used all they were trained.

We traveled all over looking again

For someone who’d know where to begin.

No one knew, but You already did

And Your timing would show us ‘when’.

You brought us to that place again..

A place of total reliance on You.

You are found so faithful, Lord,

So faithful in all that You do!

Pastor friends took a group from church

To the Holy Lands one day….

They asked if they could take Emily’s name

To the Wailing Wall to pray! 

The next day after this praying journey

We saw some hope in this scene!

Within two or three days she turned around

And it was so glorious to see!

And to this day she’s done so well

A true miracle at hand…

Completely released from all care

It’s on the Solid Rock she stands!

The prayers we had for several years

Lifted her up before the Lord.

We could not have survived the trial

Were it not for that bonding cord!

Next time you’re in the midst of pain

And you don’t know what to do,

Just lift your need to the Lord above,

For He’s waiting to carry you!
