IN MEMORY
In Sept. 1999 my cousin's wife and two young daughters were murdered in their home. This page is in memory of Sherry, Shelby and Cassidy...every year monarch butterflies are released in their memory.
May these poems posted here uplift you in some small way if you are experiencing grief over any loss, but in particular...the loss of a child.
OUR FATHER’S HOUSE
We used to live in a beautiful house
That Daddy built for us, you see.
We’d laugh and play out in the yard
And rest in the shade of the trees.
Many memories were established there,
Some that he holds near to his heart.
Both of us were loved beyond measure…
We were always together, seldom apart.
Today we’re together, hand in hand,
As it will be forever more.
We have left this earth and Daddy’s house
To be welcomed through Heaven’s Door.
A new house is where we live,
A mansion like you’ve never seen!
In this house are many rooms
All with names in a golden sheen.
The streets outside are made of gold…
And the Light just brilliantly shines!
There is a joy here that never ends
And we want you to know we are fine.
Our Father built this house we’re in
And He’s made a room for you.
He keeps us under His loving care
And has given us bodies anew.
Until the day when you move in
He gives you His Son as your Guide.
Follow Him Daddy, for He knows the way
And He will never leave your side.
He has a plan for what you must do
And we now know the reasons why.
Our Jesus is watching over you…
So don’t let your faith ever die.
